Shopify migration: move your store to Shopify
We move your store to Shopify with your products, customers and order history, and rebuild it properly on the way. Every old page gets a redirect to its new address, so you keep as much of the Google visibility you’ve built as possible.
5.0 ★ on Google · Shopify stores for Zourani, VYOLA and Thereza Pedrosa Gallery · Led by Karina Paviotti, who worked in product design at Uber, helping shape payment experiences for drivers.

Why it matters
What does a Shopify migration with us include?
Who it's for
When are we the right fit?
A good fit
✓
Your current platform takes more of your time than your customers do: updates, plugins that break each other, hosting you have to think about.
✓
You have Google rankings and returning customers you don’t want to lose in the move.
✓
You want the move and a better store at the same time, instead of paying for a copy of the old one.
✓
You sell in the Netherlands, Belgium or both, and want payment methods like iDEAL and Bancontact to just work.
Not for us
×
Not the right fit if you only want the old store copied onto Shopify, page for page, as it is. We rebuild, because moving a store that isn’t selling well just moves the problem.
×
Not the right fit if your current platform does what you need. Then stay where you are. We build every store on Shopify, so you know where we stand, and we’ll still tell you honestly on the call when moving isn’t worth it.
Why it matters
Why move to Shopify?
Because your time should go to your customers, not to keeping your store running. On Shopify, hosting, security and updates are handled by the platform. Checkout is built in, and payment methods Dutch and Belgian customers expect, like iDEAL and Bancontact, are part of it. You can change a product, a page or a price yourself, without calling a developer.
Shopify isn’t right for everyone, and we’d rather you hear that from us than find out after the move. If you’re weighing the two most common options, read our honest comparison of Shopify vs WooCommerce.
A story
Why rebuild instead of copy?
What's inside
What moves to Shopify, and what doesn’t?
What we move
Products: titles, descriptions, variants, prices, images and collections.
Customers: names, email addresses, addresses and marketing consent.
Order history, so you and your customers can still see past orders.
Your SEO: a full URL map with a 301 redirect for every old page, and your page titles and meta descriptions carried over or improved.
Your content: pages and policies, checked page by page against the old store, so nothing goes missing.
Your domain, connected to Shopify at a moment we plan together.
What doesn’t move by itself
Customer passwords. They never move between platforms, for security reasons. Customers with an account set a new one the first time they log in.
Reviews move when your current system can export them. Reviews locked inside a system without an export can’t come along.
Email flows from your old platform. They’re rebuilt in the new store as part of The Atelier or the Growth Plan.
Apps and integrations. Each one gets a Shopify equivalent where one exists, chosen during the planning.

What drives the cost of a Shopify migration?
The number of products and variants
A catalog of forty pieces is a different job from one of four hundred.
The state of your data
Clean product data moves quickly. Duplicates, missing images and inconsistent variants take longer to fix.
How much history there is
The number of customers and orders, and how far back they go.
The number of URLs to redirect
including blog posts and old campaign pages that still bring in visitors.
Languages and markets
A store in Dutch, French and English, like Zourani’s, means three versions of every page and every redirect.
Integrations
Your accounting, inventory or shipping tools, and whether each has a Shopify connection.
The package around it
A migration always comes with a new store, so the package you choose sets most of the total.

How we work
How does a migration work?

1. Book the intro call
A free 30-minute call about your store, your platform and why you want to move. We ask a lot of questions, because the real problem isn’t always the platform.
You
show us the current store and tell us what has to come along.
We
tell you honestly whether moving is worth it, and roughly what the job looks like.

2. Decide what it says
We work out who is buying, what they need to believe and what’s stopping them at checkout, and we map the move: every product, page and URL, and where it lands in the new store. You approve the written brief, the sitemap and the URL map before anything is designed.
You
give us access to your current platform and approve the plan.
We
export your data, check its quality and write the redirect map.

3. Design and build
Your pages are designed around that brief, built on Shopify and tested on every screen size. Then your products, customers and orders are imported, and every page is checked against the old store. Payments, shipping and policies are in place before launch.
You
check the new store with real products in it.
We
fix what the checks turn up and prepare the redirects.

4. Launch, then learn
We switch your domain at a moment we plan together, the redirects go live, and we check for broken links and pages Google can’t find. You get a training video and 30 days of support. With the Growth Plan, the store keeps improving every month after that.
You
start selling on Shopify.
We
watch the first weeks closely, because that’s when anything the move missed shows up.
