Shopify redesign for business owners

Your product grew up. Your store didn’t. We redesign Shopify stores from strategy up, so the store finally sells the way your product feels in person.

5.0 ★ on Google · Shopify stores for Zourani, VYOLA and Thereza Pedrosa Gallery · Led by Karina Paviotti, who worked in product design at Uber, helping shape payment experiences for drivers.

Why it matters

What is a Shopify redesign with us?

A new store for the brand you are now, not the one you were at launch. We look at who is buying, what they need to believe and where your current store loses them, then redesign the pages around that and rebuild them on Shopify. Your products, customers and order history stay where they are.

Who it's for

Does your store need a redesign?

A good fit

A redesign is a big decision, so start with the signs. These are the most common:

✓

People love the product in person, and online it doesn’t sell the same way. At a market, an event or in the studio, the product does the work. On the screen, that feeling gets lost.

✓

The structure no longer explains your range. You’ve added products and collections over the years, and now the menu is a list of everything instead of a way to choose.

✓

It looks like a template with your logo on it. Nothing is broken. It just could belong to any brand in your category.

✓

Customers ask the store’s questions in your inbox. Size, shipping, how it works, which one to pick. If the same questions keep arriving by DM and email, the store isn’t answering them.

✓

Mobile feels like an afterthought. Most of your visitors are on their phone, and the store was clearly designed on a laptop.

✓

You hesitate before sharing the link. If you’d rather send people to your Instagram than to your own store, the store has fallen behind the brand.

Not for us

When don’t you need a redesign?

Honestly, more often than you’d think. A redesign isn’t always the answer, and we’ll tell you when it isn’t:

×

When one or two pages leak, not the whole store. If the homepage works and the product page doesn’t, fix the product page. A few targeted fixes cost less and tell you more.

×

When the store is new and nobody has used it yet. Give it real customers first. The most useful information about a store only arrives once people start buying.

×

When the problem is traffic, not the store. A redesign can’t fix a store nobody visits. We don’t run ads, and we’ll say so: when that’s the real issue, we refer a media buyer we trust.

×

When your brand is about to change. New name, new product line, new direction? Settle that first. Redesigning twice is the one thing we’ll always talk you out of.

Whether we built your store or someone else did, the next step is often the Growth Plan instead of a redesign: every month we look at how real visitors use the store, ship the change that matters most and send you a one-page report on what it did.

A story

Why does a redesign start with strategy, not a new theme?

A new theme makes a store prettier. It doesn’t make it clearer. If the store didn’t explain why someone should buy before, it won’t after a new coat of paint.

Karina once went looking for one specific rose. Only one shop in the Netherlands sold it, and its website looked like a scam. She left, and bought other flowers somewhere else. The product had already won the sale. The store lost it. Most stores don’t look like a scam, of course. But many lose sales the product had already won, in quieter ways: a product page that leaves the main question open, a menu that makes people work, a checkout that doesn’t feel safe.

So we don’t start with how the new store looks. We start with what your customers need to hear, and where the current store stops telling them.

What's inside

What’s included in a Shopify redesign?

The redesign package is The Atelier: a store designed for your brand, not a template with your logo on it. For established brands with a product people love and a store that doesn’t show it yet.

A close look at what you have

Before we redesign anything, we go through your current store page by page: what works and stays, what confuses, where people drop off. What already works doesn’t get thrown away for the sake of something new.

Strategy, before any design

Customer research, a look at your closest competitors (how they position themselves, how their stores work, what they say), a positioning session with you, and a visual direction. We map the journey from Instagram, search or an ad to the order, with the points where trust has to be earned. It all becomes a written brief and a sitemap you approve before anything is designed.

A custom design you approve before we build

Your key pages designed for your brand, with custom sections where your story needs them: the craft, the materials, the ritual. Extra brand pages like your story, a size guide or a full FAQ. Product pages built around the buyer’s real doubts, with reviews, related products and an add-to-cart button that stays in reach on mobile. A cart that shows the free shipping threshold and what to add.

Copy written from scratch

The texts on your key pages written new, in one language, in the voice we defined together. Not your old texts with the commas fixed.

Emails that keep working

A welcome series and abandoned-cart emails, designed and switched on, plus a review request after purchase.

Built on Shopify, launched together

Rebuilt and tested on every screen size, launched with you, a training video and 30 days of support. And your first month of the Growth Plan is included, so the store starts improving right after launch.

Bigger than a package? Several languages or markets, subscriptions, B2B pricing or a catalog in the hundreds is a Bespoke project, planned with you and priced phase by phase. Coming from another platform? The Migration add-on moves your products, customers and order history to Shopify.

Pricing

What drives the cost of a Shopify redesign?

Every project has one fixed price, agreed before we start and never billed by the hour. What moves it:

Every project has one fixed price, agreed before we start and never billed by the hour. What moves it:

How many pages change

A redesign of the key pages is a different job from rethinking every template in the store.

Your catalog

How many products, and how much their photos, variants and texts need to change.

Copy

Every key page is written from scratch in The Atelier. More pages, or a second language, add to that.

Languages and markets

A second language follows into navigation, emails, policies and checkout.

Moving platform

If your store isn’t on Shopify yet, the Migration add-on joins the redesign.

Apps and integrations

Subscriptions, reviews, B2B pricing or a stock connection each add work. Sometimes a redesign is also a chance to remove apps you no longer need.

How ready your content is

New photos and product details are usually what slows a redesign down, much more than the design.

Your proposal lists every item next to its price, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. We go through the numbers with you on the intro call.

Good question for the call

Not sure if it’s a redesign or a few fixes?

How we work

How does a Shopify redesign run?

Four steps, no mystery. You approve each one before we move on, and you always know which one we’re on.

1. Book the intro call

You

show us the store and tell us what isn’t working, or what just doesn’t feel like you anymore.

We

ask a lot of questions, because the real problem isn’t always the one you’d expect. You leave with an honest view, even if that view is that your store is fine for now.

Café brand identity: menus, cards and labels in red, green and cream

2. Decide what it says

You

join the strategy session and share what your customers ask you.

We

go through your current store, work out who is buying, what they need to believe and what’s stopping them at checkout. That becomes a written brief and a sitemap, and you approve both before anything is designed.

Branded café packaging: a tray with a wrapped sandwich, a drink and a coaster

3. Design and build

You

review the designs, send new photos and product details where they’re needed, and give feedback.

We

design your pages around the brief and rebuild them on Shopify, tested on every screen size. We build the new design on an unpublished theme, so your current store keeps selling until launch day.

4. Launch, then learn

You

switch to the new store with us, and learn it with the training video.

We

launch together, check that old links still lead somewhere, and stay with you for 30 days of support. Your first month of the Growth Plan starts right away.

What does a Shopify redesign look like in practice?

VYOLA

made-to-measure body jewelry, Belgium

At events, people fall for a piece the moment they try it on. Online, VYOLA lived on an old site that didn’t look or sell like the brand. We built the new Shopify store from strategy up, with a made-to-measure flow where the size guidance and fit guarantee sit directly under the size field, right where the question comes up.

jewelry, Belgium

Many collections, each with its own story, and one brand that needed to look like one house. We’re redesigning the store on Shopify, organized by collection, together with the campaign imagery and the print catalog, so every touchpoint shares one mood. In progress.

The test every redesign should pass is the next few years. We built the store around the artists instead of product categories, and since launch the catalog has grown from 47 to 208 products and from 40 to 44 artists. The store still runs on that structure, so it hasn’t needed a redesign since.

Not if it's done carefully. We keep your page addresses where we can, and every address that does change gets a 301 redirect to its new page, so you keep as much of the Google visibility you've built as possible. Titles, descriptions and headings are set up again on every page before launch.

No, and that's on purpose. Our job is to make the traffic you already have convert, because sending more people to a store that isn't selling yet only makes that problem more expensive. When you're ready for paid ads on top, we're happy to refer a media buyer we trust.
