Design by Karina (“we”) is a Shopify and web design studio in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 95209484. This page explains what personal data we collect through designbykarina.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
When you fill in the contact form: your name, email address, the link to your store (if you add it), your answers to the questions in the form and your message.
When you book a call: your name, email address, the time you choose and anything you write in the booking notes. Bookings are handled by Cal.com.
When you email or message us: whatever you choose to send, through email, WhatsApp or Instagram.
When you download a guide: your first name, email address and, if you add it, the link to your store. We send the guide and any follow-up emails with Kit, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
When you visit the site: if you accept cookies, Google Analytics measures how the site is used (pages viewed, how you arrived, country, device type), and the Meta Pixel tells us when a visit comes from our Instagram or Facebook ads and whether a form was sent. Both load only after you agree in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings. Framer, which hosts the site, also keeps anonymous visit statistics without cookies.
The cookie banner lets you choose which cookies the site may use. Necessary cookies keep the site working. Statistics (Google Analytics) and marketing (Meta Pixel) cookies stay off until you accept them. Your choice is saved in your browser, and you can change it at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to, for example by downloading a guide.
We use a few trusted services to run the studio, and they process data on our behalf:
Framer: hosts this website and receives contact form submissions.
Cal.com: handles call bookings.
Kit: sends the guides and emails you sign up for.
Google Workspace: our email.
Kommo: our inbox for WhatsApp and Instagram messages.
Moneybird: proposals, contracts and invoices.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager: visit statistics, only with your consent.
Meta: the Meta Pixel for our ads, only with your consent.
